Julia Roberts was born on 28th October 1967. She was born and raised in Smyrna. Her parents Betty Lou and Walter Grady Roberts divorced in 1972. By the same year, her mother married another man who was abusive to them. Roberts’s real father died due to cancer when she was 10 years old. In 1983, her mother divorced Michael Motes. The latter couple had a daughter Nancy who died at the age of 37 in 2014.
Julia attended Fitzhugh Lee Elementary School, Griffin Middle School, Campbell High School, and Georgia State University. But she did not graduate from the university. Roberts was raised as catholic.
